Do any of you mothers ever really forget how you felt? dads too?

do any of you who have had children who were born with health problems ever forget those first few weeks of your babys lfe? like my son. he was born with some bad heart problems and we watched him be flown away the day after he was born from my hospital window. we spent the next few weeks living in nicu or cvicu waiting rooms. it seems that i can remember every little detail, like the time he went in 4 surgery, the time they closed his chest, the day he was moved to step down, the day he came home, and so on? will i ever forget? have yall?
